Remember 

Repent 

Rely 

Resist 

Remember who you are in Christ 

 

Colossians 3:1–2 (ESV) — 1 If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.

 

 

Colossians 2:9–10 (ESV) — 9 For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, 10 and you have been filled in him, who is the head of all rule and authority.

 

 

Rely on Gods strength 

 

James 4:6 (ESV) — 6 But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”

 

 

 

God is calling you to a place of surrender 

 

 

 

James 4:1–5 (ESV) — 1 What causes quarrels and what causes fights among you? Is it not this, that your passions are at war within you? 2 You desire and do not have, so you murder. You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not ask. 3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions. 4 You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. 5 Or do you suppose it is to no purpose that the Scripture says, “He yearns jealously over the spirit that he has made to dwell in us”?

 

God is calling you to another level of commitment 

 

 

 

God is calling you to draw near to Him 

 

James 4:8 (ESV) — 8 Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

Repent of your sin 

 

James 4:8–9 (ESV) — 8 Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. 9 Be wretched and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom.

 

 

Admit your sin 

 

 

 

Give up your pride 

 

Resist the Devil 

 

James 4:7 (ESV) — 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

 

Know the word of God 

 

1 Peter 5:6 (ESV) — 6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you,

 

 

1 Peter 5:8 (ESV) — 8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
